Role:
This position suits a pharmacoepidemiologist or industry-experienced epidemiologist with a background in RWE, early research and strong analytical/modelling skills. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently to identify requirements, lead study design and protocol writing, and f inding efficient ways to collect data from the most relevant sources.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the pharmacoepidemiology SME in cross-functional groups, both to internal stakeholders withing R&D, as well as externally to CROs, universities and research centres
- Lead study design and analysis; translating scientific questions into analytical frameworks (across pharmaco- and classical epidemiology)
- Apply advanced statistical or causal inference methods to uncover real world insights
- Communicate findings orally, in written reports and peer-reviewed scientific papers (to technical and non-technical colleagues
Required Skills:
- R, Python, Data Analysis and advanced modelling methods
- Master’s (Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or equivalent quantitative background)
- 3-5 years of experience in industry, consultancy or research (with hands-on experience conducting or leading analytical epidemiology projects)
- Experience with large Clinical/Healthcare datasets (e.g. CPRD or UK Biobank)
- Project and stakeholder management skills
- Confident communicating results via presentations and written reports
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within chronic disease (such as diabetes, obesity or cardiovascular conditions)
- Data Science experience/skills
- PhD (Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or equivalent quantitative background)
- Early research experience (such as biology, target discovery)
